Welcome to Sandefjord

Sandefjord is a costal town located about 6 kilometer from the airport.  You can easily get to the town center by bus and train, which takes about 10 minutes. Sandefjord is well known for its beautiful coastline with small, flowery islands, soft sandy beaches and sheltered coves. The nature and climate offer excellent opportunities for family activities and there are marked trails for hiking and bicycling along the coastline and in the forest. 

Midtåsen
The beautiful former home of shipping magnate Anders Jahre, designed by renowned Norwegian architect Arnstein Arneberg is now public property. The estate has a unique park containing a number of sculptures as well as a fantastic view over the Sandefjord fjord. The park is open to the general public. New sculpture park at Midtåsen will be opened in summer 2009 featuring a selection of the works of Knut Steen in marble and bronze.
